Newburgh police make arrest after high speed pursuit

Channel : Course poursuite Police

On 03/22/12 at 6:22pm, Newburgh police made a dramatic arrest after a high speed chase of a black Toyota Corolla that started in Newburgh and ended more than 15 miles away in Hopewell Junction, NY (within sight of my front porch) after the car lost control and crashed. The 4 male suspects in the car were apparently involved in a shooting in Newburgh, NY, and were possibly armed. This video shows an officer with gun drawn approaching the car, removing the unwilling driver, arresting him, and eventually putting him in his police car. Three other suspects fled into the woods with police in pursuit. Two were caught within the hour, while a fourth armed suspect got away. State and local police from two counties were involved, as well as MTA police and police helicopters, and the search for the fourth suspect continued late into the night. Update 03/24/2014: Police state that they recovered a .45 caliber handgun and nearly $75,000 in cash that was thrown from the vehicle during the pursuit. At this time, the 4th suspect was still at large, but police believe they have his identity. Update 03/27/14: Police arrested the 4th suspect late yesterday in Spring Valley, NY.
